I absolutely loved the graphic novel WATCHMEN, and now Warner Brothers is making a film! It's directed by Zack Snyder (300) and the movie looks great so far! I just hope that they don't mess up the movie-the book left me speechless... it's a true work of art. I suggest reading it!

Here's the basic plot:
In an alternate history, it is 1985, and the US is on the brink of a nuclear war with the Soviet Union, and the doomsday clock is ticking... meanwhile, several former "costumed heroes" are reunited through a disturbing turn of events when another costumed hero is found dead. Also, one of the vigilantes, Rorschach, believes that someone is hunting down costumed heroes, fueling a sense of paranoia amongst some of the characters.

Never heard of this comic until I first saw the trailer while watching Dark Knight. I will watch the movie before I buy this comic.

Is there just one big book issue or many?

It was originally released as a small series of comic books. There are 12 issues, all of them are collected in a graphic novel that sells for about twenty dollars. It's well worth the money.

the movie is gonna fail compared to the comic so read the comic first before seeing that [censored] of a movie
