Hasbro Monthly Q&A

Postby Jedi_Scum on 07,4, 2008

We are currently hammering out the details, but Hasbro is currently closed for new participants - BUT! We are on the waiting list.

And, Dan Curto from RebelScum has been nice enough to let us take one of his question slots per session. But that's if there's a free room that session. BUT! We are guaranteed one per month. Until Hasbro frees up some more time - we'll be going this method.

We hope you understand.

Jedi_Scum

SO POST YOUR QUESTIONS . WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Remember - Sensible questions only.

PLEASE Put this Question up!

Dear Hasbro,

Will we ever see the CIS Tank Droid or Droid Gunship ever made into plastic?

We have officially secured a question per session. Unless something gets changed.

Please... Only sensible questions. No Tonnika Sister Questions - or ridiculous "baseless/ pointless/ wasted questions".

Battlefield - You should also make your question more constructive. If there aren't any more questions appearing that are more appealing or "better". We will use yours. But will you agree to if we rephrase your question into...

Dear Hasbro,

The Clone Wars already paved way for vehicles we might never have had seen otherwise. V-19 Torrent Fighter... Spider Droid... AT-TE (Of course, and great job with it). But considering that the Republic already has so much vehicle to back up their enormous armies - Would you add more focus on to the Droid Army and it's vehicles? Last year through "Saga Legends" we saw the repaint of many droids. But will this continue? Maybe for the Animated Line? And will we see more Vehicles for the Droid Army? Most notably the Tank Droid, Droid Gunship, Magna Guard Fighters and other "Surprises"?
Thanks!

Also, can we post this AFTER Comic Con? As we might get the info there. And have a wasted question

Continue to submit your questions guys!

The Fans' Choice figures have been very hard for most collectors to find. Myself, I have only seen one complete set with an extra Utupau Shadow Trooper. Since you are re-releasing the harder to find Force Unleashed figures (ie EVO Trooper and Darth Vader,) why not the Fans' Choice? Since they are simple repaints, they would be cheap for Hasbro to produce and they would be great sellers if they were to come back to the shelves. This question is especially prevalent since Target and some Wal-Mart stores are clearancing out figures making these an even harder to find figure set.

You said that the sales of the Battle Rancor would supposedly determine if you would put out the Jabba's Palace Rancor. I did my part and bought the Force Unleashed Rancor as I like the design and I do want a RotJ Rancor, but why did you decide to base your descision on whether or not the EU Rancor sold? Is it just because of the timing of the game's release? And when will we know for sure that a Jabba's Palace Rancor is coming?

Great Questions there. As said to Battlefield - I will ask the questions regarding products yet to be determined. Such as the Rancor.

But your Fan's Choice question is now up... Top of the list. (Until someone brings it down with an even better question - but then again, that will be left until the session afterwards.)

The upcoming Saesee Tiin in clone armor figure looks amazing with his removable helmet and super articulation, but one can't help but notice one major missing accessory- his cape. Early Toy Fair images show Tiin without his cape, but we Star Wars fans decided to dismiss it as an accident ( a la Toshi Station Biggs last year), but recently surfaced carded images of Tiin still show him missing his cape. Is there a specific reason as to why you folks at Hasbro decided not to package this figure with his signature Clone Wars cape?

Dear Hasbro,

This year has already gotten of to a fantastic start in the way of vehicles, with the confirmation of the V-19, Spider Droid, Falcon and of course the fantastic AT-TE. These vehicles all appear to be supperbly sculpted and incredibly close to scale, so well done in that department.

Hasbro always seems to release a certain vehicle at around the same time that LEGO releases that vehicle. Is there any reason for this? Do you have a close relatioship with LEGO or is this just coinidence?

And with the appearance of the Clone Saber Tank in LEGO form can we expect to see this on Hasbro's raydar in the near future? And if so in what amount of time can we expect to see it (1 year, 2 years?)?

It will be asked ;) After SDCC. Because if you think about it... If it is coming - they would ask us to wait until SDCC. It might even get shown! Then we'd have wasted a question :P.

However, if we ask another question that is likely NOT to be answered in SDCC... We'll get more informations!

Trust me, I want to see those vehicles too!

Dear Hasbro,

You have made some truly awesome figures over these past few years, most notably the VOTC Han Solo back in 2004. Even 4 years later he still holds up to standards! However, many new Star Wars fans have been introduced to the 3 3/4" line since then, and would love a chance to get a crack at this amazing figure. Seeing as it hasn't had one re-release since then, is it possible that we could see a repack of this figure in the near future?
